How the day goes

We meet in Tbilisi at 12:00 and drive to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia.

In Mtskheta we visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, one of the country's main churches and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We take a walk through the old streets with souvenirs and traditional sweets.

Next we go up to Jvari Monastery, which looks out over the confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, the very spot Lermontov described in his poem "The Novice".

We return to Tbilisi by 16:00.
