The Borjomi mineral water park, the restored Rabati Fortress and the Vardzia cave city carved into the rock, all in one long day from Tbilisi.
We leave at 7:00 from the old Meidan Square in Tbilisi, ahead of us a long and full day.
The drive to Borjomi takes from 2.5 hours, 160 km. Entry to the park is 5 ₾, an hour to walk the mineral water park and see the famous Borjomi water source.
Next we drive to Rabati Fortress, an hour on the road, 60 km. Entry is 20 ₾, from 1 to 1.5 hours to see the restored fortress.
From Rabati we drive to the Vardzia cave city, an hour and a half, 50 km, with a stop at a restaurant on the way. Entry to Vardzia is about 20 ₾, a tour through the city carved into the rock in the 12th century.
We return to Tbilisi by 21:00.
